I love spring. I love to see the flowers blooming, bringing some colour back after a cold, dull, hard winter. Even the sky is grey in winter, but a spring sky has it’s colour back. That beautiful clear blue. It’s a different type of sunshine in spring time. For starters it’s a warm sunshine and I left the house yesterday without a coat in for the first time this year!
No wonder so many of us get the urge for a spring clean. It certainly gives me the positivity to start those projects I’d been meaning to do or to get out for a walk or maybe even a run (probably a walk - we’ll not push it!). I enjoy the change of season from winter to spring so I can stop wearing so many layers, get rid of the thick jumpers and winter coats and start wearing some nice shirts again and even give my extensive collection of pocket squares an airing. It gives me a chance to refresh my look, which is why I love to see the new styles coming through in glasses frames.
I look forward to seeing the new seasons designs, shapes and colours (like the angles and the prints on the JF Rey frames above). To me spring is a good time to make a change or a new start, changes are springing up all around and a new pair of glasses can make you feel good, just like seeing the sun. Have you noticed so many more people have a smile on their faces when it’s not cold and grey? So why not treat yourself to an eyewear update to see in the spring? Give us a call and book your appointment and make sure you give yourself enough time to see any new flowers on your way into the practice. Take your time and enjoy the changes.
As William Wordworth wrote;
“Through primrose tufts, in that green bower,
The periwinkle trailed it’s wreaths;
And ‘tis my faith that every flower
Enjoys the air it breathes.”
